BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) – The Lewis County Bluegrass Festival returns to Crawford this weekend for the fourth year.

There were several bluegrass performances, including by Larry Efaw and the Bluegrass Mountaineers, Joe Hott and Mountain Highway.

Charlie Goldsborough, the festival representative, says one of the main goals is to give back to the community.

All proceeds from the event go to the Lewis County Family Resource Network in Weston.

“They give back to the community by providing food and everything else to help all the families that are in need there. So it’s just a great thing to help families in need,” Goldsborough said.

The festival takes place in the historic Annamede Mansion.

The owner of the mansion is also responsible for the festival and wanted to incorporate the history of Lewis County into it.

“It’s a great way to bring the community together,” Goldsborough said. “A lot of people here have a story, whether it’s getting married here before or just driving by. So it’s a cool way to open up the area.”

Goldsborough says listening to music throughout the day is also an easy and relaxing way to bring people together.

The festival took place on Friday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. and was well attended.

At the festival there were locals, people from the Porsche Club of America, and people from Tennessee and Ohio following the bands.

As a representative of the festival, Goldsborough works with sponsors to make the festival possible and is grateful to everyone who has helped.
