The Harry Potter films will (again) switch streaming services in September 2024

With summer coming to an end in less than a month, it’s time to get excited about the spooky season that brings us cooler temperatures, Halloween, and fantastic horror vibes. Soon, the days of summer blockbusters will be behind us, and we’ll usher in new horror movies to celebrate fall. Along with new titles, we’ll be revisiting some of the most classic Halloween movies, including Disney Channel favorites. Of course, Harry Potter Whether it’s a Halloween or Christmas film series is always up for debate, but do we really need much convincing to host a Wizarding World marathon?

If your answer, like ours, is “no,” then you will be pleased to know that the Harry Potter Movies are moving to streaming services in September. If there are three certain things in life, they are death, taxes and the Harry Potter Movies moving from Peacock to Max and vice versa. This is because NBCUniversal’s Peacock platform and Warner Bros.’ Max service share the rights to the films, which has been the case since 2020. Although the films were produced by Warner Bros., NBCUniversal owns the broadcast rights, which is why you will often see Harry Potter is played on channels like Syfy.

If you subscribe to Max instead of Peacock (or simply prefer the Max interface like me), we have good news. All eight Harry Potter Movies can be streamed on Max starting Sunday, September 1st! Peacock has included the films in the “Leaving Peacock Soon” section, so we can assume they will leave the platform on August 31st.

You may be able to Harry Potter Marathon on Max on Friday or Saturday night, but you can bet on a Sunday horror watch to feel all the feels and get the comfort you need. Along with the Harry Potter Movies, Max will also add a long list of exciting titles in September. DC’s Batman spinoff The Penguin Premiere on September 19, while A24 Films Civil War And I saw the TV light up will be added on September 13th and 20th.

The Harry Potter The film series debuted in 2001 with the release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s StoneDirected by Chris Columbus. The films were huge box office hits and the series is currently the fifth highest-grossing film series in the US and Canada. Although critical response to each film has been mixed, the series as a whole is considered one of the best. It’s no wonder fans continue to binge-watch all eight films to relive their favourite memories. Be sure to subscribe to Max in time for its return on September 1st.
