Not a good start

The first new addition to the PlayStation Plus lineup for September has been revealed and subscribers aren’t exactly impressed.

August is coming to a close and with the start of the colder months, PlayStation Plus members can also look forward to some brand new titles coming to the service.

Check out the trailer for Harry Potter: Quidditch Master below!

Although we do not yet know the full program for September, we do know that Harry Potter: Quidditch Master will be one of them.

Coming out September 3rd. Harry Potter: Quidditch Master is an upcoming sports game that focuses on the fictional game of Quidditch made famous by JK Rowling’s books.

Developed by Unbroken Studios and published by Warner Bros., this is the first Harry Potter-related game since Hogwarts Legacy Beginning of 2023.

However, the availability of the feature in the PS Plus service has not exactly pleased subscribers and they took to r/PlayStationPlus to vent their frustration.

This article was created together with the trailer for Harry Potter: Quidditch Master which didn’t help matters.

“I realize that this is essentially a fantasy sports game and the quality standards are incredibly low, but it still looks pretty weird to just insert footage from a 23 year old movie into the trailer,” said one comment.

Another said: “I played this crap in the beta and it’s dog shit. It’s good for about 10 minutes and then it gets boring.”

I don’t think they were a fan.

However, there were some fans who felt nostalgic, especially since this was the first Quidditch match since Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup was released in 2003 for the PlayStation 2 and Game Boy.

“My God, I hope they made it a good experience,” read another comment.

“I remember playing Quidditch on my Game Boy for hours as a little boy. What a blast from the past!”
