With their funny goggles, big eyes (or in some cases eye), stylish overalls and bizarre gibberish, they are simply adorable.

That their appeal is not limited to children, as the recent wedding of Samantha Finan and Robert Thomas proves.
The engaged couple from Cumbria chose the Minions’ blue and yellow color scheme not only for the cutaways and bridesmaid dresses.
No, there were real people in Minion costumes on the big day. And a Minion wedding cake on which the happy couple was depicted in icing as Gru’s buddies from the Despicable Me films.
The incident took place at the Chequers Hotel in Dalton-In-Furness and bride Sam told the North West Evening Mail: “It’s just gotten out of control.”
“We sat in the back and talked about topics and it just came up in conversation. We laughed about it.”
“At first, we only planned the cake. Then the cufflinks. Then the place cards. It got a little out of control.”
And indeed… the groom even got a Minions tattoo of himself and his bride to commemorate this special day.
