The City of Cutler Bay successfully hosts the third annual Life Convention Expo

Cutler Bay, Florida 14 August 2024 – On Saturday, July 27, 2024, the Town of Cutler Bay hosted its third annual Life Convention Expo at Mater Bay Academy, attracting an impressive crowd looking to learn, connect and improve their quality of life. Tailored to residents ages 60 and older, this event showcased a variety of resources from our community to support and enrich the lives of our active adults.

In front of a sold-out crowd, attendees took part in workshops on fraud prevention, using technology, understanding insurance information and getting retirement tips and guidance. The event also included workout sessions, including Zumba, as well as raffles, breakfast and lunch, making for a well-rounded and stimulating day.

Mayor Tim Meerbott commented on the success of the event, “The Life Convention Expo has become a cornerstone of our community’s efforts to support our senior residents. It is truly heartwarming to see so many service providers, presenters and our very involved seniors come together to learn and enjoy the day. We are committed to continuing this tradition and ensuring it gets bigger and better each year.”

The event would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors: Humana, AVMed, Party Cake Bakery of Cutler Bay, The Health Experts, Miami Jewish Health, Eternal Life Services, The Derrick Team and Van Orsdel. We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to them, as well as City Council Member Suzy Lord and City Administrator Rafael Casals who attended and contributed to the day’s success.

We look forward to welcoming even more residents next year as this event continues to grow and have a positive impact on our community.
