Residents of Hamilton County, Ohio receive half-price admission to the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden this weekend.
The zoo is hosting Hamilton County Appreciation Days Friday through Sunday, August 23-25, as a thank you to the county, its residents and their continued support. The discount is also designed to make the zoo more accessible to everyone this weekend.
“We appreciate the support we receive from the residents of Hamilton County and are pleased to offer deeply discounted admission tickets as a thank you,” said Thane Maynard, Cincinnati Zoo director, in a press release. “The zoo is for everyone and we want to make it easier for everyone to be inspired by the animal world.”
Tickets for Hamilton County Appreciation Days can be purchased in advance online here. Adult tickets are $15; child and senior tickets are $12. You will also be required to present a valid Hamilton County photo ID upon entry to the zoo.
As for on-site attractions, the zoo says there are several can’t-miss attractions, including the famous Fiona and family at Hippo Cove, the Cheetah Encounter, Barnyard Bonanza and the Ameritas Wings of Wonder – come early to see Bob the bird trainer in action, the zoo says.
The zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
