There are many more great titles for both PC and console that let players explore incredible cityscapes filled with corporate advertising where people always have to speak positively about a company that is actually ruining their lives. While this world may look beautiful compared to the usual grime of other cyberpunk titles, Mirror’s Edge is still an open world that follows this theme. As players freely roam through these different buildings and explore this very perfect city, they will likely encounter the corporations they are fighting for their freedom.

The majority of civilians in this glass city are all connected to the same surveillance system via a neural link. This invasive practice is made worse by the corporations’ plans to control the entire population via the grid that connects everyone. Of course, the player cannot allow this to happen.

3 The rise

A detailed and dirty cyberpunk world

Players looking for a new open-world cyberpunk RPG should look no further than The rise. Featuring third-person shooter-style combat in a cyberpunk world, players can create a cybernetically enhanced character who must work for the corporations as they explore the various floors of the The rise.

Since The Ascent Group, the corporation that controls the player’s workplace, collapsed, the district must survive on its own while various groups and other corporations try to take control. In this cyberpunk world, the player once belonged to the corporation. But now they must try to survive without it and show others that there is still a way to carry on.

2 Cloudpunk

Cloudpunk may not have as many gameplay features as the other open-world games mentioned. However, it is still a well-thought-out cyberpunk world with an interesting story for players to discover while completing various deliveries in the futuristic city.

The players work for a delivery company within Cloudpunk that not only picks up and delivers packages, but also drives various people around the city. The choices a player makes during these deliveries change the world around them for better or for worse, as they learn who controls the city. Cloudpunk and see how each of their clients’ stories evolve.

Cyberpunk2077 got off to a rocky start, but over the years since its initial release, CD Projekt Red has created a cyberpunk-themed game that many other titles have tried to emulate. Cyberpunk2077 is not only an incredible RPG experience, but also includes a phenomenal open world that makes the player feel like they can live in it.

Since players can choose from a number of life paths at the start of the game, they quickly learn the pecking order of the different lifestyles in Night City and how corporations like Arasaka control almost everything. Even the cybernetics the player uses against corporations were originally developed by those very people.
