The Lord’s Place expands board

Sean Baker And Laura Lofaro Freeman were recently appointed to The Lord’s Place Board of Directors. They complement the existing members and bring their professional and personal talents to address the issues of homelessness, provide strategic advice and financial leadership, and uphold The Lord’s Pace’s values. Baker is currently the Fire Chief of Palm Beach Fire Rescue. Lofaro Freeman is the founder and CEO of Sterling Resources International, Inc., a human resources and management consulting firm. For more than 40 years, The Lord’s Place has worked to break the cycle of homelessness for men, women, and children in Palm Beach County.

YMCA of the Palm Beaches hires director of philanthropy

The YMCA of Palm Beaches has accepted Stephanie Langlais to its leadership team. In her new role, Langlais will serve as Director of Philanthropy. Langlais has more than 18 years of experience as a nonprofit professional, fundraiser, marketer and grant proposal writer in the South Florida market. The YMCA of the Palm Beaches has served the Palm Beach County community for more than 100 years, providing essential programs, activities and services to thousands of children, seniors and families annually.

Youth rights group appoints director for development

Center for Child Counseling recently announced Heather Bennett as Director of Advancement. She will play a critical role in raising funds for the Palm Beach County-based nonprofit and supporting its mission by developing long-term organizational sustainability. The center has been laying the foundation for playful, healthy, and hopeful lives for children and families in Palm Beach County since 1999.

Property management company receives accreditation

Luxury Fusion is accredited by the National Home Watch Association. The association was founded in 2009 to establish and maintain the highest industry standards for home monitoring and absentee homeowner services in the United States and Canada. Owned by Persimmon BurgessLuxury Fusion serves Palm Beach County, including (but not limited to) Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Jupiter, Palm Beach, Wellington and West Palm Beach.

Chairman of Jones Foster is described as remarkable by the legal elite

Jones Foster, a 100-year-old commercial and private client law firm with offices in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach and Jupiter, recently announced that Chairman Scott G. Hawkins was named a Legal Elite Notable – Managing Partner by Florida Trend magazine for the second consecutive year. Florida Trend editors selected Hawkins from numerous nominations as one of only 109 managing partners of leading law firms across the state.

Greenberg Traurig lawyers land on Super Lawyers lists

Four attorneys from the West Palm Beach office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, PA, have been named Best Lawyers in Florida for 2024 by Super Lawyers. Shareholders Bridget A. Berry And Mark F. Bideau were recognized for commercial disputes, and shareholders Joseph C. Coates III And Tracy L. Gerber were recognized for securities litigation. In addition, West Palm Beach shareholders Robert R. Kane III, Elizabeth E. MoumAnd Irma Qureshiand associated Vanessa Palaciowere named to this year’s list of Florida Rising Stars.
