In a recent interview for the Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum In the podcast, Bonnie admitted that she was “a little disappointed” with Ginny’s overall presence in the films.

Bonnie said that since she first appeared in the film series at the age of nine, she was “anxious” to “perform and make the most of developing my role.”

“It was like, ‘Oh God, am I doing justice to this character that people love?'” she recalls thinking at the time.
Bonnie stated that the task was particularly “difficult” because “a lot of the scenes with the individual characters were inevitably cut from the book to the film. So there wasn’t as much to show in the film.”
“Sometimes it was a little disappointing because some parts of the character just weren’t expressed because there weren’t any scenes for them. I guess that made me a little worried or just frustrated.”

Bonnie also stressed that there was “not much room for change in the scripts” and that her fears largely stemmed from the fact that she had no real control over the situation as a whole.
“I think what I may have taken away – which I don’t take to heart so much now – was that I may have felt my anxiety came from thinking, ‘Oh, people are going to think I’m bad at portraying this character,'” she explained, “rather than realizing later that I didn’t really have the opportunity.”
