TAMA COUNTY – Over 600 students in grades K-12 participated in 4-H summer programs in Tama County this year and we want to thank them!

We extend our sincere gratitude to our partnerships with the Tama, Toledo, Traer, Dysart, Chelsea, Clutier and Garwin public libraries. Thank you to Tama County Conservation for their partnership with Critter Camp and Fishing Camp. Thank you to Iowa Valley Continuing Education for their partnership with Outdoor Adventures. Thank you to Pied Piper Preschool in Traer and Kid’s Corner in Toledo for inviting us to visit with your children. Thank you to South Tama for partnering with us and your gardening program. Thank you to the Tama County Historical Society for their new partnership with Haven School House Day Camp.

A very special thanks goes to the Tama County Livestock and Fair Association for the successful 2024 Tama County Fair and to all the sponsors who supported us financially.

Most of all, I want to thank everyone who participated in Critter Camp, Books for Cooks, Outdoor Adventure Camp, Library Programs, Haven Day Camp, Fishing Camp, Babysitting Basics, South Tama Garden Program, Lego Camps, Overnight Camp, and of course the Tama County Fair!

The Iowa 4-H Youth Development Program provides youth with opportunities to develop skills they can use now and throughout their lives. Building on a century of experience, Iowa 4-H promotes positive youth development based on the needs and strengths of youth, their families and communities.
