Tesla CEO Elon Musk has made “this comparison” with Harry Potter’s villain

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has sparked controversy by BrazilChief Justice Alexandre de Moraes to the notorious Harry Potter villain Lord Voldemort. The SpaceX CEO’s tweet, which has since gone viral, shows photos of Judge Moraes and Voldemort side by side.
In the tweet, Judge Moraes is seen wearing a black cloak reminiscent of Voldemort’s attire, while the villain is seen brandishing a wand in the adjacent image. Musk captioned the post on X: “The resemblance is uncanny. Alexandre de Voldemort.”

Previously, social media platform X (formerly Twitter) announced on August 16 that it would cease operations in Brazil. The company stated that Brazilian Supreme Court judge Alexandre de Moraes had threatened to arrest its legal representative in Brazil if he did not follow his orders.
X is dismissing all remaining Brazilian employees from the country “effective immediately,” although the company stated that the service will continue to be available to the Brazilian population. The company did not provide any information on how it could claim to cease operations while continuing to provide services to Brazilians.
Earlier this year, the company clashed with de Moraes over free speech, far-right accounts and misinformation on X. The company said his recent orders amounted to censorship and shared a copy of the document on X.
“Moraes chose to threaten our employees in Brazil rather than respect the law or due process,” the company said in a statement on X. “The decision to close the 𝕏 office in Brazil was difficult, but if we had agreed to @alexandre’s (illegal) secret censorship and release of private information, there is no way we would have been able to explain our actions without being ashamed,” Musk wrote.
