The video obscures the faces of the new players and focuses more on their numbers, so these characters still hold a big secret. However, the teaser offers a good look at Lee Jung-jae, who returns as Seong Gi-Hun in Season 2 of the series. The video can be viewed below.

A television show starring Chuck E. Cheese has just been announced, reminiscent of Netflix’s Squid Game.

Hwan Dong-hyuk will return for season 2 as director. Other returning characters from the first season include Lee Byong-Hun as the frontman, Wi Ha-jun as Hwang Jun-Ho, and Gong Yoo as the game recruiter. According to Netflix, Season 2 of the hit series states: “Three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 is still determined to find the people behind the game and put an end to their cruel sport. Using his fortune to fund his search, Gi-hun starts at the most obvious place: he looks for the man in the fancy suit who plays Ddakji on the subway. But when his efforts finally bear fruit, the path to dismantling the organization proves deadlier than he imagined: to end the game, he must re-enter.”

It was recently announced that there will be another season of Squid Game after season 2. The series has been renewed for a third and final season to conclude the story. Although the wait for season 2 is three years compared to the series’ initial airdate, the good news is that the third and final season has been announced for 2025, making the wait for the next season much, much shorter.

“It has been nearly three years since Season 1 received an incredible response worldwide and many unimaginable events took place,” series director and screenwriter Hwang Dong-hyuk said in an open letter when the renewal was announced. “I am overjoyed to write this letter to announce the date for Season 2 and share the news of Season 3, the final season. On the first day we started filming Season 2, I thought, ‘Wow, I can’t believe I’m back in the world of Squid Game.’ It felt almost surreal. I wonder how it will feel for you to be back in Squid Game even after three years.”

Season 2 of Squid Game The premiere is scheduled for December 26, 2024.
