Submit your photos for National Dog Day

ORLANDO, Florida. – Monday is National Dog Day, so show us your four-legged companion with PinIt! and we might even put them on TV!

Colleen Paige founded National Dog Day in 2004, choosing Aug. 26 because that was the day her family adopted their first dog, a sheltie, when Paige was 10 years old, her website says. Howliday celebrates all dogs and has had a mission for the past 20 years to recognize and consider how many need rescuing, the website says.

We want to help you celebrate your four-legged friends by featuring them on our platforms!

PinIt! is WKMG’s built-in feature that allows News 6 Insiders to upload photos from their communities and pin the location the images were taken.

Submitting is easy: After signing up for our free Insider Program, web users can click the “Upload Pin” button here and get started. App users can find the PinIt! feature in the toolbar at the bottom of our Pinpoint Weather app or by navigating the dropdown menus in the News 6 app.

Be sure to leave a short description introducing your furry friend and don’t forget to select the “Pets” category as well.
