While much of the attention has been focused on Stephen Curry following the final two games of the U.S. national team’s road to gold at the Olympics, following the Golden State Warriors guard’s two-straight standout performances, head coach Steve Kerr made it a point to highlight the performance of one particular player.
After Team USA secured gold with a thrilling win over France in Paris, Kerr spoke to members of the media in his post-game press conference. Before his press conference ended, Kerr had high praise for Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker. Kerr called Booker the “secret MVP” of Team USA.

Booker was one of four players to score in double figures for Team USA on Saturday. Booker scored 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting to go with six rebounds and three assists in 28 minutes. Booker scored 10 or more points in four of Team USA’s six games in Paris.
