PANAMA CITY BEACH — The Florida Department of Transportation has issued a series of traffic alerts for Bay County. According to a press release from the agency, lane closures and delays will occur on the following roads:

US 98 west of Tyndall Drive-Airey Avenue to east of Louisiana Avenue

Lane closures are expected between Tyndall Drive-Airey Avenue and Louisiana Avenue until the end of September.

Widening of State Road 390 from 23rd Street to Baldwin Road

Due to asphalting work, drivers must expect lane closures between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. The intersections include:

  • Frankford Avenue and SR 390, August 25-26
  • Airport Road and SR 390, August 27-28
  • 23rd Street and SR 390, August 25-26

US 98 will be widened from Mandy Lane to east of Nautilus Street

Because of this work, the median crossing of US 98 into the Summerwood neighborhood will be closed from August 26 to 29.

Hutchison Boulevard from US 98A (Front Beach Road) to US 98A (Front Beach Road)

Expect lane closures from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. August 26-30 while workers complete sidewalk and concrete work.

US 98 (Panama City Beach Parkway) will be repaved from the Walton County Line to Heather Drive

From August 25 to 29, nighttime road closures are to be expected due to asphalting work.

US 98 will be widened from east of Nautilus Street to east of Richard Jackson Boulevard

Cox Grade Road will be closed at the US 98 intersection on Sunday, August 25, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

SR 390 bridge over Mill Bayou

From August 25 to 31, drivers near the bridge may experience traffic delays.

Construction on the Gulf Coast Parkway from US 98 (Tyndall Parkway) to Star Avenue

From August 26 to 31, between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m., one lane will be closed on westbound US 98 (Tyndall Parkway) between 11th Street and Tram Road.

Shoulder improvements on East 12th Street from SR 390 to Pennsylvania Avenue

From August 26 to 30, drivers must expect temporary road closures between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
