Now it’s Simone Biles’ turn to cheer on her husband.

After winning four medals – three of them gold – at the 2024 Paris Olympics, the most decorated American gymnast in history headed to Chicago’s Soldier Field on Saturday to cheer on her husband, Bears safety Jonathan Owens, as Chicago defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 27-3. “Bear Down,” Biles shared on her Instagram Story.

Owens, who signed a two-year deal with the Bears in March after spending one season with the Green Bay Packers last year, recorded four tackles (three of them solo) during the preseason game.

Biles returns the favor after Owens cheered her on in Paris. The Bears allowed Owens to miss several days of training camp, in addition to the Bears’ first preseason game against the Houston Texans, so Owens could watch Biles at the Olympics. Owens was present for the gymnasts’ team finals and the all-around finals, where Biles won gold. In Paris, she won another gold (vault) and silver (floor).

On Saturday, Biles wore a boot on her left foot, which she wore as a precautionary measure after straining her calf while warming up for the floor exercise at the Paris Games earlier this month. However, it was another accessory that had some Bears fans freaking out.

Biles paired a black onesie and bucket hat with a custom jacket that featured images of Owens. Bears fans were quick to point out that Biles’ jacket featured images of Owens in his No. 34 Packers jersey.

“OK @krisjuszczyk – Time for a new Custom Bears suitable for @Simone_Biles!” wrote one social media user, referring to designer Kristin Juszczyk, the wife of San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk, who has made a splash for designing custom gear for players like Biles, Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes.

Biles is scheduled to take part in the Gold Over America Tour, which begins with performances in Oceanside, California, on September 16. The tour will stop at 30 arenas across the U.S., including a date in Chicago on September 29, the same day the Bears host the Los Angeles Rams.
