Today, August 29, 2024, is National Sports Day. On this special occasion, Sidharth Malhotra shared an epic throwback snap with his Kapoor & Sons co-star Fawad Khan. The duo was seen playing cricket together in a video. Fans reacted to Sidharth’s post and expressed their desire to see him in the recently announced biopic of cricketer Yuvraj Singh.
Sidharth Malhotra took to Instagram to share his love for cricket and sports in general with his followers. He posted a few pictures of himself playing cricket in the mountains during a film shoot. Sidharth also posted a funny video in which he is seen competing against Fawad Khan in the match. He even said that his team is always better, which made Fawad laugh.
In the caption, Sidharth wrote, “From Delhi’s streets to film sets, my love for cricket has remained unchanged! Sports have always been a big part of my life – basketball, rugby at club level, soccer and of course gully cricket.”
Revealing the importance of sport in his life, he added, “It has made me who I am today and built my physical and mental strength. Now shooting breaks are just an excuse for a quick dose of cricket! #NationalSportsDay #Throwback.”

A biopic on Yuvraj Singh was officially announced earlier this month. Bhushan Kumar and Ravi Bhagchandka will jointly produce the project under their banners T-Series and 200 Not Out Cinema.
Meanwhile, Pinkvilla exclusively reported that Sidharth Malhotra is in advanced negotiations for his lead role in Race 4. Producer Ramesh Taurani is planning a reboot of the franchise with the return of Saif Ali Khan. A source revealed, “To stay true to the world of this franchise, the Race franchise will be rebooted with a face-off between Saif and Sid. It is a pure two-hero film with both the characters having shades of grey.”
