Short story competition for adults launched

Bucks County Community College has issued a call for entries for its short story contest for adults living in Bucks County. The deadline for submissions for the 2024 Bucks County Short Story Contest is October 10 at 12:00 p.m.

The top three winners of the contest will receive gift cards valued at $200, $100, and $50, respectively, and will read from their work at a ceremony at the college on November 9.

The final judge is author CJ Spataro, the director of the MFA in Creative Writing and MA in Publishing at Rosemont College in Montgomery County. She is also an award-winning short story writer.

Adult residents of Bucks County may submit an unpublished story of up to 15 typewritten pages (double-spaced, Times New Roman, 12 point).

A separate competition for high school students will be held in spring 2025.
