My apologies, Tyler Perry’s new legal thriller premiered on Netflix today, and last week there was some interesting, if unnecessary, drama during the film’s star Kelly Rowland’s press conference.
After Kelly reportedly appeared as a guest host with Hoda Kotb on TodaySeveral sources claimed she abruptly left the set after becoming unhappy with the accommodations. “Kelly left because she and her team didn’t like her dressing room,” a source told People.
The rumor spread online and sparked a debate about whether Kelly’s decision to leave the band was right or wrong. Skinnygirl CEO and former Real Housewife Bethenny Frankel tried to criticize Kelly’s behavior, while actors like Marlon Wayans stepped in to defend her character.

Fortunately, Kelly’s next stop is Today was the “light, positive energy” of Hello, the comedian and actor’s daytime talk show.
Sherri Shepherd is in a class of her own with a certain cheekiness on her side.
Kelly took the time on Sherri’s show to go beyond the unnecessary drama and praise Sherri. “I know this is your show, but I have to tell you,” Kelly said. “Thank you for being light and positive energy during this time. We needed you and thank you for your light.”
But don’t let the “light, positive energy” of the Sarah She is a talented comedian and knows how to deliver just the right amount of shade that deserves applause.
One fan commented on an IG promo for Kelly’s episode, “I guess her dressing room was acceptable.” Sherri responded, “Oh we gave her a beautiful room!❤. It’s Kelendria Rowland.”
And to highlight her efforts and show that she gave Kelly the treatment she deserved, Sherri shared a BTS video of the dressing rooms.
“Kelly is here?” Sherri asked excitedly before marching into the room to hug the Grammy-winning singer.
The couple exchanged compliments while everyone watched Sarah Locker rooms. The video certainly dispelled any suspicions about Kelly’s treatment on that talk show. That’s just the level of pettiness everyone should aspire to.
Kelly was absolutely thrilled to be part of Sherri’s show and this changed every false narrative that arose from rumors and allegations about a little old dressing room Today.
Following the drama, co-hosts Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager all sided with Kelly’s decision.
That’s the true lesson of the Golden Rule: Treat queens like Kelly the way you want to be treated.
Keep it up, Kelly!
