Shedrick Jackson, Jalen Davis, Cam Grandy and Devin Cochran are reportedly joining the Bengals’ practice squad

The Cincinnati Bengals have not announced their practice squad yet, but we have some confirmed names of who will be on it.

According to WLWT’s Charlie Clifford, the Bengals have signed wide receiver Shedrick Jackson, offensive tackle Devin Cochran and cornerback Jalen Davis to the practice squad, all three of whom were among the team’s latest releases on Tuesday.

Davis is the most high-profile name of the three, as he was close to being added to the 53-man roster after playing there the past two seasons and being called up for a few game days in the 2021 season. With only five true cornerbacks – one of whom is converted safety Dax Hill – the Bengals had to add at least one cornerback to the practice squad, and I’d venture to guess they’ll try to add one more.

Cochran, who will be in his second year in 2024, was signed as a free agent by the Bengals in 2022 and was not selected in the draft. He spent his rookie season on Cincinnati’s practice squad and then spent the 2023 season on the injured list with a knee injury.

Jackson, the nephew of Bo Jackson, was also signed by the Bengals as a UDFA in 2023. He spent his rookie season entirely on the practice squad and was called up for games several times.

Additionally, Aaron Wilson reports that tight end Cam Grandy has been signed to the practice squad. Grandy began his college career at Missouri Western and transferred to Illinois State ahead of the 2023 season. He caught 63 passes for 622 yards and three scores. He was signed as a UDFA this year and released during final cuts.
