Shaun Ryder reveals his secret to his recent weight loss

Shaun Ryder has lost 12 kilos thanks to the controversial diet drug Ozempic.

The 60-year-old singer, who recently appeared on the all-star version of ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’, has revealed that he has been able to lose a significant amount of weight in recent years after resorting to the diet drug.

Speaking about his weight loss, Shaun, who first appeared on ‘I’m a Celebrity’ in 2010, told The Sun newspaper: “I’m 60 and I’ve got hip problems, thyroid problems, bloody testosterone problems and everything else.”

“People have noticed that because of my alopecia, I don’t have any damn eyebrows and eyelashes.

“Basically, the jungle slapped me right in the face and said, ‘Calm down, buddy.'”

“My thyroid is underactive so it doesn’t matter if you only eat salad, you’ll still be damn fat, but since doing the jungle I’ve lost a lot of weight.

“I think I weighed 105 kilos and now I weigh only 8 kilos, and that’s because of those injections that you put in your stomach that the Kardashians supposedly take? Ozempic. I took them and lost 125 kilos.”

Ozempic is an appetite suppressant that is currently rumored to be extremely popular in Hollywood circles.

However, it can also be prescribed by a doctor to help patients suffering from obesity due to diabetes and thyroid disorders.

Shaun admits that some celebrities who take Ozempic may have “a lot of physical problems,” but for the Happy Mondays star, it has been proven to be life-changing.

He said: “For me it’s great. It actually gives me a bit of energy, so now we can get back to cycling.”
