LIVE: The star-studded K-pop music festival K-World Dream Awards (KWDA), formerly known as Soribada Best K-Music Awards and K Global Heart Dream Award, took place at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul, South Korea on Thursday, August 22. Jang Do Yeon and Jun Hyun Moo took the stage as returning hosts of the event for the second year in a row.
The field of this year’s ceremony was packed with big names in the industry, with NCT 127, aespa, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ZEROBASEONE, ITZY, ILLIT, and many others first walking the blue carpet at 4:30 p.m. KST before attending the main awards ceremony.
Artists from all K-pop generations secured major victories at the show. SEVENTEEN, KISS OF LIFE, BIBI, P1Harmony, Zico, Jennie, IVE and LE SSERAFIM were among those celebrated as winners in numerous categories. The glamorous evening was also the setting for diverse live performances in Seoul.
