The Seneca County Board of Supervisors meets on Tuesday, August 27th at 6:00 p.m. The agenda includes important topics ranging from environmental issues to public safety.
Key agenda items include proposed changes to the 2024 Seneca County budget to address deficiencies in the state-mandated preschool program. The Public Safety and Criminal Justice Committee will declare Sept. 15-21 Sheriff Week and consider transferring ownership of K9 “Ben” to Sergeant John Fowler following the dog’s retirement.
Other important discussions include the creation and filling of several county positions, changes to the Officers’ Handbook, and a sublease agreement with the Friends of the Three Bears on the Public Works Committee.
The Economic Development Committee will also hold a second public hearing on the Verona Village Renovation Project funded by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).
