Bulloch County Schools sent the following message to parents Saturday evening:

Bulloch County Schools will reopen with regular school and afternoon classes on Monday, August 12.

We encourage all students to return to school. Families whose child cannot return to school for special reasons can contact their school on Monday morning.

School buses are currently prohibited from traveling on unpaved roads. This applies to all unpaved roads. Our drivers have been working hard this weekend to plan temporary routes and pickup points for affected families. We appreciate their commitment to reopening schools. Please be patient and expect bus delays.

If your bus stop has been temporarily changed, our lead drivers will contact you. For safety reasons, do not let your child walk along or cross streets alone to get to a new bus stop. Please stay with your child until the bus arrives and pick them up in the afternoon. For safety reasons, children who are not picked up by an authorized adult will be returned to their school.
