Due to the impact of Tropical Storm Debby on the field at Stallings Stadium in Elm Street Park, Little League® The International Tournament Committee has decided to continue the remaining Little League Softball games® World Series, presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods, at East Carolina University Softball Stadium (9999 Charles Blvd. – Greenville, NC).
“While we love nothing more than to finish this historic event at our true home of Stallings Stadium at Elm Street Park, due to the severity of the impacts from Tropical Storm Debby, we have no choice but to host the remainder of our event at East Carolina University,” said Dan Velte, Little League Senior Operations Executive. “We are immensely grateful to the City of Greenville and all of the incredible volunteers on our Little League Softball World Series Committee who worked so hard to make this event possible leading up to and during this year’s tournament. We look forward to providing our teams with a fun and memorable experience as they complete the remainder of this tournament and are excited to return to Stallings Stadium at Elm Street Park in 2025.”
Below is the updated schedule (all times ET, subject to change):
Saturday, August 10
- Game 17 (Purple bracket): New England vs. Mid-Atlantic – 2:00 p.m.
- Game 18 (Orange bracket): Central vs. Southeast – 5 p.m.
Sunday, August 11
- Game 19 (Orange Bracket Championship): Southwest vs. W18 – 9am
- Before the game, the Little League will present the 2024 Girls with Game Team Sportsmanship Award.
- Game 20 (Purple Bracket Championship): North Carolina (host) vs. W17 – 12pm
- Game 22 (championship): W19 vs. W20 – 3pm
- Prior to the game, the Little League will honor the returning members of the 1974 Little League Softball World Series from Wellswood Little League (Tampa, Florida) with a 50th game celebration in honor of the girls.
Although seating may be limited, fans are permitted to attend all games free of charge. They are asked to park in the Aman Family parking lot on Charles Boulevard or in additional parking lots across the street. Additional beverages and food will be available on-site at the ECU Softball Field.
