Scattered showers this evening, hot and humid first half of the fair

Good afternoon! Temperatures are a little cooler than normal today, skies are mostly cloudy, and there is haze from wildfire smoke. There are no air quality alerts in place because pollutant levels are below the limit for an air quality alert across Minnesota. However, haze may occur at times.

Scattered showers and isolated light thunderstorms are possible tonight, but they are more likely in southwestern Minnesota. Lows tonight will be in the 10s to 15s. Some fog is possible again tonight, mainly in northeastern Minnesota and river valleys.

Tomorrow, skies will be partly sunny, with highs between 24 and 26 degrees. Rain is more likely Thursday, first during the day in western Minnesota. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely in western Minnesota on Thursday, with isolated strong storms.

In eastern Minnesota and the Twin Cities, the chance of isolated rain and thunderstorms is higher Thursday evening and overnight. Isolated showers and light thunderstorms are possible early Friday. Most of Thursday and Friday will be dry in the metropolitan area.

Temperatures will remain comfortable at 75 degrees when the fair begins this Thursday. Friday will be hotter and more humid. The first weekend of the Minnesota State Fair and the beginning of next week look to be hot and humid, with highs in the 90s.

It will stay dry this weekend through early next week, so all you have to contend with is the heat and humidity when you head to the show!

I wish you a wonderful day!
