Scarlette Douglas says Owen Warner was desperately looking for “mirrors” at the beginning of “I’m a Celebrity: Get Me Out of Here!”

The former A Place In The Sun presenter – the second star to be evicted from the Australian jungle – revealed the Hollyoaks star was keen to find a way to check his appearance “everywhere he goes” when they first moved into camp on the ITV reality show.

After taking over Owen’s Instagram, the 35-year-old TV presenter said: “Hey guys, it’s Scarlette and I’ve taken over Owen’s Instagram.

“I thought I’d tell you a little secret about Owen.

“When he got to the jungle, everywhere he went he just tried to find mirrors.

“He found these tiny squares high up in the trees that no one else could see, and he stood there and thought, ‘Yeah, I look good.'”

Scarlette is backing the 23-year-old actor for playing “everything to the ground” on the show, which also features former rugby player Mike Tindall, radio DJ Chris Moyles, former Lioness Jill Scott and disgraced former Health Secretary Matt Hancock.

She said: “He’s off in the jungle. Keep voting for him because he’s an absolute legend.”

Owen’s ex, 27-year-old “Celebrity Big Brother” star Chloe Ferry, also supports him and admits that she wished things had worked out with the actor.

She told The Sun newspaper: “I can’t say a single bad word about him. He’s a great guy and one of a kind. I’ve never met anyone like him.”

“I wish it had worked out. But we had completely different careers and wanted to go down different paths.”
