Salehe Bembury launches the series “Art Friends Thumbs Up Good Job” in collaboration with Jonas Wood Crocs

Salehe Bembury is back and putting a fresh spin on his collaboration with Crocs. Known for shaking up the sneaker scene with his one-of-a-kind Pollex clogs, Bembury is now expanding his Crocs partnership through an innovative series called “Art Friends Thumbs Up Good Job.” This exciting new project invites fellow creatives to reinterpret the iconic Pollex clog, starting with renowned contemporary artist Jonas Wood.

Bembury recently announced this first collaboration, which combines his signature shoes with Wood’s distinctive artistic style, on Instagram. Jonas Wood is based in Los Angeles and is celebrated for his bold and colorful still lifes, portraits and landscapes. Some of his most well-known works revolve around basketball themes. His unique ability to transform three-dimensional spaces into dynamic, vibrant two-dimensional images has earned him a global following, with exhibitions in galleries around the world.

Wood’s partnership with Salehe Bembury brings forth a Crocs clog unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. The Pollex Clog takes on Wood’s signature stippling technique with intricate detailing and a striking palette of blue, grey and black. This collaboration feels more like a wearable piece of art, showcasing a design that’s as much about fashion as it is function.

The Art Friends Thumbs Up Good Job series aims to shine a light on visionaries from different fields, and this first release with Jonas Wood sets the bar high. The artistic translation onto the Crocs silhouette is a seamless blend of Wood’s eye for color blocking and Bembury’s signature Pollex design, making these clogs an absolute must-have for collectors and streetwear fans.

If you want to snag a pair, you’ll want to act fast—this edition is limited to just 1,000 pairs and will be releasing exclusively on BeASpunge.com at 9am PST on August 22nd. Given the creative forces behind this collaboration, it’s bound to sell out fast.

Stay tuned for future releases in the Art Friends Thumbs Up Good Job series, as Salehe Bembury continues to bring fresh artistic talent to his Crocs collaborations, elevating shoe art to new levels with each release.
