Rupert Grint names his only condition for returning for one last Harry Potter film

Rupert Grint has revealed that he is definitely in favor of a return to the Harry Potter Franchise – but only under one condition.

The 33-year-old actor rose to world fame as a teenager through his role as Ron Weasley in all eight fantasy films.

Over a decade after the release of the last installment in the series, Rupert has admitted that he would like to play Ron again in a future project.

“I can’t think of any reason not to”, he said on Thursday Good morning, Great Britain“I love this character, I love this world. It’s a big part of my life.”

But Rupert added that his former co-stars had to support him.

“I would (come back),” he said. “If the others did, I think so!”

And while he admitted to feeling a “kind of ownership over Ron,” he added that he enjoyed seeing Paul Thornley play the character in the official Harry Potter sequel, The Cursed Child.

“I really enjoyed the piece,” he continued. “And it was a real thrill to see someone else take over that body.”

“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” premiered in London’s West End in 2016 and has since moved across the pond to Broadway.

The story, which actually consists of two parts, picks up from the epilogue of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” and begins with the title character and his friends’ children going to Hogwarts for the first time.

Since the end of the Harry Potter series, another film saga has been created in the same universe, Fantastic Beastshas already been filmed, the third part is scheduled to hit theaters in April.

“Good Morning Britain” airs every weekday from 6am on ITV.
