This is the only survival crafting game set in the Fourth Age of Middle-earth, a rich, sprawling universe full of distinct stories to tell. If you want to get your hands on The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria on Steam or Xbox Series X|S, it’s currently available for the discounted price of $19.99.

Previously, the developers of this game were working on an update for the beta and Epic Games Store version that would enable crossplay. Since the game has just been released on new platforms, this update will automatically be available for those who are just getting in. All platforms can participate in crossplay, meaning you can play with friends on PlayStation 5 even if you’re on PC or Xbox.

This update is called “The Golden Update” and includes a host of new features as well as cross-play. This includes a sandbox mode for those who prefer to play without a challenge. Steam users also have the option to purchase an exclusive bundle that includes the game, the official soundtrack with 34 unique tracks, and an art exhibition that is also discounted for a limited time.

The Golden Update was previously only available on the Epic Games Store, but is now available on all platforms. It allows Steam and Epic Games users to host 8-player game sessions in The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, regardless of which platform the other players are joining from.

In addition to crossplay, players now have over 100 new decorations to choose from, allowing them to customize their base however they want to make it look as quaint or cozy as they want. One of the main added features that will benefit people who play the game alone is the ability to pause the game now. To be able to pause the game, all you have to do is press the escape key or open the settings menu and you can return to the game without fear of consequences.

New difficulty settings also allow players to optimize the experience to their liking, such as changing enemy aggressiveness, combat, and drop frequency.
