Kelly’s memory of the situation.

The 2024 edition of WWE SummerSlam took place at the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio. Ohio native Logan Paul entered the show to defend the US title against LA Knight. Paul was accompanied to the ring by Grammy-nominated musician and fellow Ohioan, MGK (Machine Gun Kelly).

Paul posted a recording of IMPAULSIVE with MGK that was filmed after SummerSlam. MGK reflected on the experience and said the following when Paul apologized for being booed in his home state:

I’m an entertainer. This is for art, dude (he replied when Paul apologized for being booed in his home state). I told you so.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Kelly said that when he walked to the ring before the show, he saw Randy Orton and told him “Fuck you.” MGK said that was a reaction to hearing Orton talk about him.

When I was in the ring yesterday (at SummerSlam) and Logan (Paul) just wanted to say what’s going on and see what we could work out for the show, and I saw Randy Orton, and I remember Randy Orton talking shit about me… There was a point where I was like, I’m going to practice a new version of myself, and then three, two, one, I was like, fuck it. “Yeah, man, fuck you.” Yeah (that really happened). I don’t know where you were, but I remember all my guys sitting there thinking… “Is this real? Is this part of the script? I don’t know what’s happening…” The amount of people that label me as an aggressor in every situation I’m in are so wrong. I’m not doing anything but dedicating myself to the art, and there’s another funny factor. Just the art that I stand in or exist in makes people mad.

Orton has not responded to MGK’s comments. If there is any news on the matter, we will update this article.
