The most fascinating aspect, as the trailer’s name suggests, was the unveiling of special stadiums for Hogwarts’ two rival schools, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. The Triwizard Tournament and Quidditch were conspicuously absent from Hogwarts LegacyNow that the two elementary schools in Harry Potter: Quidditch MasterThey should also be part of the sequel to the open-world title.

Harry Potter’s Triwizard Tournament could make multiplayer in Hogwarts Legacy exciting

Not every AAA game needs built-in multiplayer, but with Hogwarts Legacy and its inevitable sequel, there’s room for something remarkable.

Harry Potter: Quidditch champions’ lead can help Hogwarts Legacy 2 win gold at the Triwizard Tournament

The existence of Harry Potter: Quidditch Master suggests that sports, or at least a variation of them, could make their way into the sequel. For something arguably much bigger, however, the sports-based title also sets precedent for the presence of the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and the Durmstrang Institute for Magical Learning in. Hogwarts Legacy 2. The two schools are great rivals of Britain and could potentially bring in a whole host of interesting characters and quests.

If the game’s timeline goes further back, say to 1792, Avalanche could add the infamous iteration of the Triwizard Tournament. This was the last such competition before the events of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire took place, and a basilisk went on a rampage and injured three judges. When Avalanche wins the Triwizard Tournament in Hogwarts Legacy 2that would be a great way.

The popular competition could include a number of quest lines before and after its duration, even if players cannot actually compete. If they can participate, the tournament’s various tasks and the dangers involved will make for a very exciting part of the game. Considering the events of Harry PotterIn the fourth year and the centuries-long history of the tournament, the developer has almost unlimited creative freedom to design memorable tasks. If necessary, the Triwizard Tournament could also be released as post-launch DLC for Hogwarts Legacy 2.

A cancelled Triwizard Tournament can still work wonders in Hogwarts Legacy 2

If the Triwizard Tournament is actually missing Hogwarts Legacy 2Avalanche will still have a lot of scope for the narrative. Essentially, there is still a way to make Durmstrang and Beauxbatons present. The canon mentions that “several unsuccessful attempts have been made to revive the tournament.”

In such a scenario, instead of the unsuccessful revival of the tournament, the developer could introduce student exchange programs. Players could be drawn into a long series of quests that determine whether they go to the magical academy of Durmstrang or Beauxbatons, or both. This could also be the place where Hogwarts LegacyThe supposedly suspended moral system of can intervene and create select storylines to follow.

Additionally, by visiting said schools, players can learn about new cultures, take part in current quests, and even learn new spells. Durmstrang, for example, is notorious for its strong inclination towards the dark arts. In addition, access to the foreign school buildings themselves may just be the natural progression for Hogwarts Legacy 2especially since players explored much of Hogwarts on their own the first time around. However, that doesn’t mean every secret room has been discovered, as Salazar Slytherin’s Chamber of Secrets has yet to be added.

Simply put, the presence of Beauxbatons and Durmstrang in Harry Potter: Quidditch Master enables the same in Hogwarts Legacy 2 too. It remains to be seen whether this will happen through the Triwizard Tournament or something else entirely.
