Jackie’s life with the Walter boys is just beginning! Netflix’s teen drama My life with the Walter Boys has been renewed for season 2 and fans are waiting with bated breath for the next chapter.
The series, based on Ali Novak’s novel of the same name, received an exciting update on August 14. Netflix announced that My life with the Walter Boys has started filming in Calgary, Canada.
The ongoing love triangle between Cole (Noah LaLonde), Jackie (Nikki Rodriguez), and Alex (Ashby Gentry) has been the subject of much debate, and Season 2 will surely dive right into Jackie’s romances with the Walter brothers.

When is My life with the Walter Boys Is season 2 coming out?
An official premiere date for My life with the Walter Boys Season 2 has not yet been announced. The series was renewed for a second season in December 2023, less than two weeks after its debut.
Since the year is already half over, season 2 will not premiere until late 2024. A release date is 2025, so there will be about two years between the first and second seasons.
Who returns for My life with the Walter Boys Season 2?
It’s no surprise that Rodriguez, LaLonde and Gentry return as Jackie Howard, Cole Walter and Alex Walter.
Other members of the Walter family will also return next season, including Sarah Rafferty’s Katherine Walter, Marc Blucas’ George Walter, Johnny Link as Will Walter, Corey Fogelmanis as Nathan Walter and Connor Stanhope as Danny Walter. Jaylan Evans will also return as Skylar.
Zoë Soul, who plays Hayley, Will’s wife, will be a recurring cast member in season 2. She was a series regular in season 1. Other recurring cast members include Isaac Arellanes, Myles Perez, Alex Quijano, Ashley Tavares, Dean Petriw, Alix West Lefler, Lennix James, Alisha Newton, Ellie O’Brien, Kolton Stewart, Mya Lowe, Gabrielle Jacinto, Jesse Lipscombe and Nathaniel Arcand.
Jason Priestley, who directed two episodes in the first season, will return to direct several episodes and also serve as a producer for the second season. Becky Hartman Edwards has joined as an executive producer for the second season.
What happened at the end of the first season?
At the beginning of the series, Jackie moved from New York City to Colorado to live with the Walter family after losing her family in a tragic car accident.

After settling into her new life in Colorado, Jackie was seen flying back to the Big Apple with her uncle Richard (Alex Quijano) in the final scene of the season. The night before, Jackie and Cole had shared a passionate smooch in the barn after he lovingly repaired their mother’s broken teapot. Meanwhile, Alex was asleep after getting drunk at his brother’s wedding. He confessed his love to Jackie, but she didn’t say “I love you” back.
The next morning, Jackie was gone. She left the Walters only a note saying, “I’m sorry.” This was a stark departure from the end of the book, where Jackie chooses to be with Cole.
What will happen in season 2?
Season 2 has to bring Jackie back to Colorado. Her life with the Walter boys is far from over. Showrunner Melanie Halsall never wanted Jackie to have to choose between Cole and Alex at the end of the first season. “I knew I didn’t want that,” she said diversity“I thought she wouldn’t end up with either of the boys – she’s a successful young woman who’s going her own way, without a romance.”
Rodriguez knows that Jackie will leave Manhattan again in Season 2 for Silver Falls. “Obviously Jackie would have to go back to Colorado, but what makes her come back? I don’t even know. I’ve thought about so many different options,” Rodriguez said. Teen Vogue“I tried to keep a really open mind. But I’m really excited about the first script and what Jackie brings back and what she gets into.”
Although Jackie was neither with Cole nor Alex at the end of the season, the love triangle is just starting to pick up speed. Gentry joked with Tudum that season 2 will be “juicy with a capital J.”
Will there be a My life with the Walter Boys Season 3?
Netflix has not yet announced any plans for My life with the Walter Boys Season 3. But given the success of the first season and the speed at which the streamer renewed for season 2, a third season is a safe bet!
