With August slowly dragging on, Josh and I did another podcast episode centered around a mailbag. However, there was some news we needed to discuss before taking questions! First, we talked about Luka Doncic, Dirk Nowitzki, and Steve Nash being part of Goran Dragic’s farewell charity game. Then, we talked about Marc Stein’s report that Dallas players are together in Los Angeles, training in some form. Lastly, we talked about Jason Kidd’s appearance on a Bay Area podcast and his comments about Kyrie Irving helping bring people to Dallas. Kyrie as a recruiter is pretty cool! Finally, I talked a little about how much fun I had this weekend at the Mavs Twitter Tournament.

The mailbag was extensive. There was a question about comparing Jaden Hardy to Roddy B and Dominic Jones. There was a question about Luka’s training regimen and what we think he could potentially improve on. There was a question about ranking Grimes, Hardy and Dante Exum in terms of their breakout potential. One person gave me a platform to rant about international games and complain about how many NBA games there are. I always enjoy the types of questions we get and we really should ask them more often during the regular season. Maybe we’ll try!
