It’s an old truism that when it rains in Vancouver in the summer, the PNE must be running.
This year was no different: several rainy days extending into the weekend spoiled the fun at the exhibition center in east Vancouver.
In response, the PNE is offering half-price admission to the fair Tuesday through Thursday, August 27-29. (The PNE is closed on Mondays, with the exception of the finale on Labor Day (September 2).)

“After several days of rain, including record rain on Saturday, August 24, the PNE Fair is announcing a three-day 50 percent discount on pairs of fair tickets sold,” PNE spokeswoman Laura Ballance said in a statement on Sunday.
“The response to the 2024 show has been very positive, but after the heavy rain last week and up until Saturday, we wanted to give the show another boost on our last weekend.”
Reduced price tickets must be purchased in packs of two and must be of the same type. They are available online or at the ticket counters on site, with discounts available when purchased in advance.
