Now that the preseason is over, we mostly know which players will make the final 53-man roster for our Miami Dolphins. Of course, there will be some that come out or come in that surprise us individually or as a group. These are the one or two cuts that always make you think, “WTF?”, “I didn’t expect that!”. Besides these surprise cuts for players on the fence and sometimes veterans you thought were “sure,” there are other players that have surprised you or the fan base.

There are always draft picks and undrafted free agents, and sometimes there are even free agent signings that we all thought were “meh” when we saw them, but over time we realized the genius behind drafting or signing the player. Most of those players that you didn’t think much of when you drafted or signed them seemed unlikely to make the roster, and are now either safe on the final roster or most likely won’t make the practice squad without being poached by another team.

Now that you’ve watched three preseason games, which signings or draft picks surprised you? Which players made you wonder why the team drafted or signed them in the first place and you now understand why? Which players, if any, did you consider to be nothing more than “campbodies” that you now believe are either sure to make the team or at least have a very legitimate chance of making the Dolphins or another NFL team’s roster in 2024?
