New projects
Tanguy Road/Creek Road: From August 26-30, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the stretch of road between Dilworthtown Road and Route 926 (Street Road) in Thornbury Township will be closed for base repairs.
Barren road: From August 26-30, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the road between Ridley Creek and Painter Road in Middletown Township will be closed for pipe replacement.
Bethel Street: From August 26-29, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the roadway between Featherbed Road and Smithbridge Road in Concord Township will be closed for paving work.
Interstate 476
25 August to 29 August: The next morning from 8 p.m. to 5 p.m., southbound lanes between the US 30 and Route 3 (West Chester Pike) junctions in the communities of Radnor, Haverford and Marple will be closed alternately for milling and paving work.
25 August to 29 August: The following morning from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., alternating northbound lane closures between I-76 and the Route 3 (West Chester Pike) interchanges in Lower Merion, Montgomery County and Radnor, Haverford and Marple townships for utility work.
26 August to 29 August: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., lane closure with paving on East Rose Valley Road between Osborne Lane and Avondale Road in Nether Providence for bridge repairs.
Ongoing work
Route 452 southbound (Market Street): through August 26, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. weekdays, lane closure between Beech Street and Ridge Road, Upper Chichester and Lower Chichester townships, utility construction by the Southern Delaware County Authority.
Ridley Avenue: A lane closure is planned between Sellers Avenue/Ward Avenue and North Swarthmore Avenue in Ridley Park through August 30, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weekdays, due to gas line relocation.
Concord Street: Through the end of November, the roadway between Tuscany and Station Road in Concord, Bethel and Aston townships will be closed weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for treatment of high-friction surfaces.
Near Delaware County
Route 3 (West Chester Pike): through Nov. 29, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weekdays the roadway between Garfield Avenue and Spring Lane in West Goshen Township will be closed for demolition and reconstruction of the concrete median.
North Mill Street: August 26 and 27: Lane closure with paving on North Mill Road between Cedarcroft and Line Road in Kennett and New Garden townships, Chester County, for widening.
South Creek Road Bridge
South Creek Road: will be closed 1,200 feet south of Bullock Road and 1.1 miles north of Cossart Road as part of a $15.2 million bridge replacement project over the East Penn Railroad and Brandywine Creek in Pennsbury Township, Chester County, and Chadds Ford Township, Delaware County. A completion date was not given.
Glen Riddle Road Bridge
Until November 21st: Closure planned between Brandywine Drive and Wrights Lane in Middletown Township to replace the bridge that carries Glen Riddle Road over Chrome Run Creek. Local access will be maintained for residents and businesses.
Route 420
PennDOT’s $35.8 million project will replace the bridges that carry the highway over Darby Creek in Prospect Park and Tinicum Township.
By 2027: A southbound lane of the Route 420 bridge over Darby Creek will be closed 24 hours a day as the four-year project to rehabilitate and replace that section continues.
Thornbury Parish
Bahnhofstrasse Bridge 234: Closed 24 hours a day, no schedule for reopening.
PECO work
Bishop’s Avenue: August 29 to September 26, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays, closure between Baltimore Pike and Broadway Avenue.
Route 3 (West Chester Pike): Through September 20, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weekdays, the roadway will be closed in both directions between Glen Gary Drive and Eagle Road in Haverford Township.
US 30 (Lancaster Avenue): Through Oct. 30, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weekdays, one lane will be closed between Church Road and Old Wynnewood Road in Lower Merion Township.
MacDade Boulevard: Through December 31, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane will be closed between MacDade Mall Boulevard and South Avenue in Glenolden on weekdays.
Aqua Pa. Work
Route 320 (Sproul Road): Through August 30, weekdays from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., lane closures between Beatty Road and the US 1 (State Road) ramp in Springfield Township.
Brookhaven Road/Turner Road: Closed and detoured between Route 252 (Providence Road) and Plush Mill Road in Nether Providence Township from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through August 30.
Conestoga Street: Until August 30, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane of traffic will be closed between Lowrys Lane and Glenbrook Avenue in Radnor Township.
Landover Road: Closed between Gaynor Road and Haverford Road from 9am to 3pm until Nov 29.
Note: Some of these projects will be completed ahead of schedule and the Daily times will not be notified.
