Tropico is a series of city-building and management simulator games in which players take on the role of a political leader of an island nation trying to keep its finances under control, its citizens happy, and its enemies and allies at bay. The series originally appeared in 2001 and has been expanded to include five sequels. The latest entry is Tropico6 which received similarly high ratings.
