Patrick Mahomes returned to the field and led the Kansas City Chiefs in his first game since his wife Brittany Mahomes announced they are expecting their third baby together.

On Saturday, August 10, the Chiefs quarterback stormed the field with his team at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida, for a preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Before the game, he was seen in a video shared on the Chiefs’ official Instagram account giving a pep talk to cheer on his teammates.

In another video posted by the team, Patrick can be seen running up to a young fan to sign a shirt and posing for a photo with a man and a baby. The Chiefs also showed off Patrick’s dapper style before the game with a photo and video of the athlete arriving at the stadium in a red polo shirt. “Polo Patrick is on site,” the post read.

Just before the game, Brittany shared a series of highlights from a fun trip to a petting zoo with the couple’s two children, Sterling and Bronze. It doesn’t look like she traveled to Florida to watch her husband play.

In February, Patrick won the MVP title for the third time at Super Bowl LVIII after he and the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22.

After the game, the quarterback praised his team’s “defense” for “keeping us in” and “of course Harrison Butker,” who scored a field goal to tie the game and send it into overtime.

Now the three-time Super Bowl MVP is also becoming a father of three children: Brittany announced in a joint Instagram reel on July 12 that she is pregnant and expecting her third baby.

In the video, the couple and their daughter Sterling, 3, and son Bronze, 20 months, laughed and danced around with ultrasound pictures while wearing all-white outfits.

“Round three, here we come 🤍,” the proud parents wrote under the reel.

The couple has been married since March 2022 after Patrick proposed to Brittany in September 2020 following his Super Bowl ring ceremony.

In October 2022, the quarterback spoke about his parenting philosophy in an episode of Football in Americaand said he plans to “stay out” of his children’s sporting interests.

“I’m going to teach my son and daughter all the fundamentals and everything they want to learn. But at the same time, I want it to be about them,” Patrick explained. “That’s what my dad did when I was growing up, that’s what my parents did. They didn’t pressure me into anything. I think that’s why I’m in the position I’m in today.”
