The Indian wrestler was disqualified before the gold medal bout as she was 100 grams overweight. It was previously reported that the CAS verdict would be given on the same day, but it has not been announced yet.
On Day 14, India’s medal tally increased from five to six when Aman Sehrawat won bronze in the men’s freestyle wrestling -57kg category. The 21-year-old became the first wrestler from India to win a medal at Paris 2024 and the youngest Indian wrestler ever to do so. As the seventh wrestler from India to win an Olympic medal, he joined an illustrious list that also includes KD Jadhav, Sushil Kumar, Yogeshwar Dutt, Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia and Ravi Dahiya.
In athletics, the men’s and women’s 4x400m relay teams were eliminated after struggling in their respective heats. In golf, Aditi and Diksha finished the third round in T40 and T42 respectively.
