The pork mollies are getting healthier.
According to team reporter Darin Gantt, Carolina Panthers offensive tackle Yosh Nijman was removed from the physically unable to perform list after passing a medical exam on Thursday. The 6-foot-tall, 315-pound player was sidelined this summer with a leg injury.
Prior to the move, head coach Dave Canales gave reporters an encouraging update on Nijman after Thursday’s practice – during which the 28-year-old was seen holding a helmet:
Dave Canales says Yosh Nijman is moving in the right direction, “now it’s just a matter of quantity” in snaps and reps. (He’s still on PuP, by the way.) https://t.co/aXpSus4r8K

Canales said the following about Nijman and his recovery on August 11:
“Yosh probably still has a long way to go. So he’s still working on some things. He just had a leg augmentation operation. We have to be very careful with guys who have had those things. He’s part of our development and we’re going to keep improving him every day and try to get him ready to go.”
Fortunately for the Panthers, who signed Nijman as a key backup for their offense, he now seems almost ready to play.
