Mike Vorkunov from The athlete recently published coverage in The athlete The group, called the “40 Under 40” list, is designed to spotlight some of the NBA’s best non-player talent under 40 and draw attention to some of the best coaches, executives, managers and influencers who will be under the age of 40 on June 1, 2024.

“The men and women who are here are here because of their intelligence, their acumen, their success, their influence, their promise and their talent,” Vorkunov wrote. It is the second time he has compiled a “40 under 40” list.

This time, a personality from the Indiana Pacers was named. Ted Wu, who holds the official title of Vice President of Basketball Operations and Cap Management, is one of the 40 names and he is 36 years old.

Wu has been with the Pacers since December 2020. Previously, he worked in the NBA league office on the Salary Cap Management team. He knows the league’s collective bargaining agreement well and the Blue and Gold have managed the salary cap effectively in the years since Wu’s arrival.

Creative salary cap changes allowed the Pacers to trade Pascal Siakam and give Myles Turner a one-time contract extension. They currently have several talented players on good contracts. Wu has worked in the front office with Kevin Pritchard, Chad Buchanan and Kelly Krauskopf over the past four years.
