One person was arrested after shots were fired at a bar in Warren early Saturday morning.

According to a police report, the call came in just before 2 a.m. Saturday morning reporting gunshots at a bar on North Park Avenue.

When police arrived at the scene, they spoke with two women in a vehicle who appeared to be frightened. The women told police they heard gunshots in the parking lot and saw two men fleeing south.

Police soon spotted two men, one of whom was identified as a minor, walking in the area of Paige Avenue and stopped and arrested them. Officers searched the two for weapons and found a gun in the pants pocket of 18-year-old Tre’von Kelly.

According to police, Kelly is prohibited from owning a firearm because he is only 18 years old.

According to the report, Kelly told police that he and the teen were asked to leave the bar, after which the situation escalated between them and another man.

Kelly told police the man began shooting at him and the teen, at which point they got on their bikes and fired two shots back at him. No shell casings were found in the area where Kelly allegedly shot the man.

However, police said eight bullet casings were found in the bar’s parking lot next to the cellphone of the man who allegedly shot the two teens. Police spoke to the man but could not confirm whether or not he was involved in the incident.

Police have since released the teenager but taken Kelly to Trumbull County Jail, where he is charged with carrying concealed weapons and discharging firearms.

Kelly was charged on Monday and is due back in court on August 20.
