PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Paul Skenes’ girlfriend Olivia Dunne reacted on social media Wednesday to the Pirates’ loss to the Chicago Cubs at PNC Park.

The Cubs scored 11 unanswered runs and beat the Pirates 14-10, handing the Buccos their third straight loss. During the team’s collapse, Dunne, an LSU gymnastics star, shared her feelings on social media platform X with a GIF.

The GIF showed Skenes, the Pirates’ rookie phenom pitcher who started Wednesday’s game. The 22-year-old pitched five innings, allowing three hits and two earned runs. He struck out six batters and retired 11 of the last 13 batters he faced. He received a no-decision.

The Pirates led 8-3 at the start of the fifth inning and extended their lead to 10-3 at the end of the fifth inning.

Pittsburgh’s bullpen allowed 11 earned runs and 11 hits in the final four innings. The Cubs scored two runs in the seventh inning, three runs in the eighth inning and six runs in the ninth inning.

The Pirates (62-71) are in last place in the National League Central Division. Pittsburgh travels to Cleveland on Friday to begin a three-game series against the Guardians.
