Carol Ann Kelly, 79, of Ft. Madison, IA, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.
She was born on January 29, 1945 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia to Fred and Marie Solomon Morris. Carol was married to Michael John Tebbs from 1969 to 1985. She then married Robert Edward Kelly II on September 3, 1993. Carol was the owner of Carol’s Country Crafts and later became the first female salesperson at Jim Baier Ford. She was a master quilter who also enjoyed gardening, reading, antique shopping and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Kelly II of Ft. Madison, four children: Brendan (Denise) Tebbs of Bonaparte, Danielle (Lance) Vaughn of Altoona, Joshua Tebbs of Columbia, SC and Courtney Tebbs of Ft. Madison, stepchildren: Diana (Dan) Krueger of Keokuk, Robert “Rob” (Brandy) Kelly III of Keokuk, Kristy Kelly of Stronghurst, IL, seven grandchildren: Corinne (James) Owen, Katherine Vaughn, Lauren Vaughn, Kendyl Bechen, Kelly (Anthony) Peavy, Kolton Krueger and Brittany Kelly, three great-grandchildren, one sister: Dana (Darrell) Mueller of Ft. Madison, one brother: Randy Morris of Naples, FL, nieces and nephews.
Her parents, her sister-in-law Patricia Morris and her grandson Clinton Tebbs had already died before her. “Clinton is waiting for you, Grandma! Did you bring your red glasses?”
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory and there will be no official memorial service at this time. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.kinglynk.com.
