Trenton, New Jersey — A New York Lottery player won the top prize of $1,000 a day for life in Sunday’s Cash4Life drawing after matching all five white balls and the Cash Ball.

The winning numbers were 08, 09, 21, 44 and 53, with a Cash Ball of 04.

Smokes 4 Less, 59 North Plank Road in Newburgh, sold a winning ticket with a minimum guaranteed value of $7 million.

In addition, a player from New Jersey matched four of the five white balls and the Cash Ball to win an initial $2,500. However, the Doubler option doubled the winnings to $5,000. In total, 10,216 players secured cash prizes totaling $57,466, with 2,983 of these tickets benefiting from the Doubler feature.

  • Shooting in Baltimore leaves teenager injured

    Baltimore, Maryland. — A 19-year-old was shot and killed in northwest Baltimore early yesterday morning.

    Shortly after midnight, Northwest District patrol officers responded to a local hospital after a shooting victim was reported without first entering.

    Upon arrival, officers found a 19-year-old man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Investigators later determined the shooting occurred in the 3700 block of Columbus Drive.

    Northwest District Detectives are actively investigating the incident and are asking anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2466 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.

    New York, NY — According to the New York Lottery, a grand prize ticket valued at $37,366 was sold for the August 16 TAKE 5 Evening drawing.

    The winning ticket was purchased at Matt’s News, 93 East 3rd St in Dunkirk.

    5 numbers are drawn from a field of 1 to 39. The draws take place twice a day at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Winnings from the lottery draw can be claimed up to one year after the draw date.
