New DRAGON BALL video game announced for mobile and PC

While Dragon Ball Fans are eagerly awaiting the October release of Dragon Ball: Spark! ZeroThere is another new game set in this universe coming soon. Announced this week by Bandai Namco Entertainment, Dragon Ball Project: Multi is a new free team-oriented action game for PC and mobile.

Dragon Ball Project: Multicurrently a working title, resembles a MOBA, a multiplayer online battle arena (like League of Legends). In the game, two teams of four players compete against each other in an exciting battle to capture objectives and eliminate opposing heroes. During the game, players can upgrade their chosen character so that its strength increases as the round progresses.

“Experience the world of Dragon Ball by destroying the battlefield on your own or conquering the enemy objective with your friends and allies.” says the game description. “The hero characters you take over will grow stronger as the round progresses, giving you the chance to destroy opposing players and bosses alike.”

Each of the playable characters has a specific role with unique skills and abilities. Roles include Damage, an aggressive attacker; Tank, a damage absorber; and Technical, a support hero who helps allies or takes out enemies.

Dragon Ball Project: Multi is a free-to-play game with customization options that will likely serve as a monetization system. Players can unlock (presumably purchase) aesthetic changes such as skin items and animation changes. Confirmed customization items include entry animations and special finisher animations.

A regional beta test will begin next week. The beta test will be available in Canada, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It will run from Monday, August 19 at 11:00 p.m. PDT to Monday, September 2 at 10:59 p.m. PDT.

Dragon Ball Project: Multi is available for PC (via Steam), Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store). The recommended and minimum system requirements for each platform can be found here. An online connection is also required as this is a team-oriented multiplayer game.

It is unclear when exactly Dragon Ball Project: Multi will be released; however, we have a confirmed release date for another highly anticipated game that will be Dragon Balm Universe. Spike Chunsoft’s 3D action battler Dragon Ball: Spark! Zero The release is scheduled for October 11, 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
