We love Tony Tony Chopper, but he’s going to be so scary to look at.

We finally have official confirmation of what storylines the Netflix adaptation of One Piece will cover in season 2. While some fans might be disappointed that the season doesn’t cover everything up to the end of the Alabasta story arc, we’re excited because the final episodes of One Piece season 2 will cover the Drum Island story arc. This is honestly one of the best storylines in the entire series, but it comes at a price – Netflix has to create a CGI half-human, half-reindeer monstrosity named Tony Tony Chopper.

For the uninitiated, Tony Tony Chopper is the doctor of the Straw Hat Pirates who also happens to be a reindeer who ate a devil fruit, giving him human intelligence and the ability to transform into multiple forms on demand. This also made him so incredibly cute that I wanted to squeeze his little cheeks until he burst – in the anime. In the live-action version, I expect him to give off this weird creepy vibe the whole time I’m watching.

This won’t be an isolated incident in One Piece Season 2. Not only is Buggy the Clown back to scare me and everyone else with his eyes, but we’re also introduced to Nico Robin, whose power is… hands. Just hands that sprout from everything, everywhere. Walls. Weapons. Other people’s faces. It’ll be terrifying, but it’s nothing compared to seeing Tony Tony Chopper transform from a cuddly teddy bear into an eight-foot-tall, hulking giant of a man.
