More of Kelly Clarkson’s best Kellyoke performances

This latest list of Kelly Clarkson’s Kelloke’s best performances prove that this woman can sing anything you throw at her. Viewers first met Kelly all those years ago, in 2002. Back then, Kelly was just a girl from Texas who wanted to see if she had what it took to make it in the business. Surprisingly, Simon Cowell didn’t hate her, so she had that going for her.

She became a household name with her huge hit “Since U Been Gone” from 2004, which I definitely heard loudly in my red Volkswagen Jetta. Kelly has since moved on to the daytime show with her daily talk show. But she hasn’t forgotten her roots and always has a song or two ready to sing to her audience. With her bubbly personality and talent for crooning, we just can’t get enough of our American Idol.

“Beautiful Things” by Benson Boone

Benson Boone went from American Idol to opening for Taylor Swift, so the man is clearly having a major moment. Benson shocked fans when he left the singing competition because, as he said on The Zach Zang Show, “I wanted to make music. I decided I wanted to make music, and I don’t want people to say, ‘Oh, Benson Boone. American Idol blew him up.'” I think it’s safe to say you’ve made it when your songs are covered by the Queen of American Idol, Ms. Kelly.

Kelly brought pure emotion to the song, which brought a few tears to my eyes. The TV presenter performed a beautiful glissando while belting out notes. Kelly has the ability to always show her vocal strength without ever overdoing it.

‘Bird Set Free’ by Sia

Sia is one of the best in the business. When she sings, her jumps send shivers down my spine and her lyrics often mean something to a world that sometimes struggles to find the good. There’s something about Sia that really makes her unique, so when Kelly decided to cover her song, I was impressed. I was also glad we got to see Kelly’s face, as she wasn’t exactly nervous in front of an audience. It would be wonderful if Kelly and Sia could do a duet, as they are both singing gods!

“Blown Away” by Carrie Underwood

I love Carrie Underwood. I’ll be honest: Kelly and Carrie were the two contestants I knew would win American Idol from their first audition. Both have so much talent that it was hard to ignore their star power, so I was pleasantly surprised when I heard Kelly sing a tribute to one of Carrie’s songs. Both have the perfect country twang. But don’t be fooled; the song has a beautiful rock feel that will have you tapping your feet in no time. The ease of the performance blew me away.

“Babylon” by David Gray

The British singer probably existed before Kelly knew she could sing, but she did David Grey justice with “Babylon.” I appreciate Kelly’s ability to tell a story through her singing. She wraps herself and the listener in a melodic bubble that you don’t want to burst. I was so enthralled by this tune that I almost didn’t notice it was over. To be honest, I could have done with an encore.

“Flowers” by Miley Cyrus

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I love Miley Cyrus. “Flowers” ended 2023 as the fourth most streamed video and second best selling digital track, so I needed Kelly to do her take on the iconic song. Both women have experienced horrific breakups, which captures the theme of the lyrics. Kelly’s personal tears added a sweet jazz feel that lifted the song to another level.

So once again we went on a musical journey with Kelly and she makes me want more!
