Before playing his rendition of “My Life” at the end of the set, MJ mentioned that he first heard the song from Iris DeMent’s 1994 album of the same name while watching Harmony Korine’s film Mister Lonely (2007).
MJ also performed “She’s Leaving You,” “Joker Lips,” and “Wristwatch” from his fourth studio LP, Manning Fireworks, due out September 6.
